I young boy was doing his best to lift a very heavy rock that was too large for someone his size. He huffed and puffed as he tried in vain to lift the huge stone. In spite of his efforts the rock would not budge. His father walked by and after watching his son’s struggle, asked if he was having troubles. The boy answered, “Yes, I have tried everything, and the rock will not move!” The father replied, “Are you sure you have used every resource at your disposal?” The boy looked up with frustration filling his face and blurted out, “Yes.” Kindly his father bent over and softly said, “No, my son, you have not tried everything because you have not asked for my help.”
Many times we struggle unnecessarily because we have not used every resource that is available to us. Yet, Jesus is more than a resource. Jesus is the answer to everything that might and can confront us. But for many of God’s children, we turn to God last or not at all chosen to go it alone.” All the while Jesus is waiting for us to invite him into our life.
Let me encourage you to Choose Jesus for he is the answer. Do not wait too late,
why not Choose Jesus first!
